It’s no joke when people say our face shows what we are from within. The face is truly a mirror to our body, and automatically reflects any problem our body has. . But here’s another cool truth. Our body also has all the answers to our problems, and they need not be searched outside.

This is not a recent finding. Face mapping has been an important element for our face health and, in turn, for the wellbeing of our body for ages now! In fact, the discovery of face mapping dates back several thousand years to the days of ancient Chinese medicine.

Our ancestors were smart weren't they? Now, all you have to do is take a good look at the mirror to find how our body is affected to take appropriate action.

Dermatologists today consider face map technique as a combination of eastern and western philosophies. By the end of this article you can learn how to use face mapping as a solution for all your skin problems and treat their root causes.

FACE MAPPING : The Chinese Way

Face mapping is nearly THREE THOUSAND years old and finds its roots in China. The Chinese philosophy states that our face is a map and each of its sections is connected to different organs.

For example, the part of our chin is believed to be a reflection of our reproductive organs’ health. The other name for face mapping is mien shiang, which literally translates to face reading.

Although there’s no scientific backing to this practice, many believe that our face shows different signs — such as  pimples, redness, or dryness — that directly relate to our organ health. It is an essential tool to use because no matter what skincare routines we follow, it is important to tap the root cause of the problem.

And that is why we will be looking at the various parts of the face and its  hidden connection with organs.

FACE : the gateway to know our organs better! Our face has hidden face mapping spots that need to be discovered.

Forehead

The forehead is the area above our eyebrows and if it shows any signs of redness, fine lines or pimples, beware! It can be due to problems in the digestive system, because, according to Chinese medicine, our forehead is directly connected to our digestive system.

Next time you have breakouts on your forehead, see if you have an irritated bowel, or are suffering from a poor diet, or lack of sleep. .

Temples

Temples are connected with the bladder and kidneys. They are basically located on the side of the face, behind the eyes and lie between the forehead and the ear. When a problem arises in the bladder or kidneys, it is reflected through breakouts in the form of acne on the temples(also called acne face map). It may even arise due to the side effects of some medicines.

Eyebrows

Do you see breakouts around your eyebrows? It probably is caused by the liver. Face mapping reveals the connection between eyebrows and the liver, and any malfunction of the liver impacts your eyebrows.

Liver is one of the most important organs in our body, which is responsible for detoxification! Poor diet, lack of sleep or exercise may cause acne and fine lines.

Under eye area

Skin issues here pertain to problems arising from the kidneys — more importantly, body fluids. Lack of sleep or even stress can cause dark circles, eye bags or puffiness in the eye. Next time make sure not to skip your sleep! Increasing your water intake is also helpful(try consuming at least 3-4 liters per day).

Nose

The nose can be divided into two parts — the left side that denotes the left side of the heart, and the right side that denotes the right side of the heart. Breakouts here can be visible in the form of blackheads, redness and excess oil secretion. Also, any blockage in the heart can cause these breakouts. With the help of a face map, we can tap the root cause, in this case, the heart.

By improving your diet (less spices, more veggies and fruits) and exercises, you can curb this problem. In addition, we can even practice opening the blocked heart chakra for more benefits.

Cheeks

According to the Chinese face map, our cheeks are connected to a few organs like the stomach and lungs. Pimples , redness and acne are the common symptoms that appear on our cheeks as a result of an inflamed stomach, and any breakouts could be because of weakened lungs.

The reason may be overeating — especially junk food, sugar and other processed foods. Weakened lungs may be a reason for allergies or sinus. The key is to keep a check on the diet and avoid processed foods. To strengthen lungs, the best way is to do yoga and breathing exercises.

Jawline

Our jawline is connected to our reproductive system. So, any breakout you see around the chin area means that there is some hormonal issue in the body. Stress, irregularities in the menstruation cycle, and any imbalance of hormones may lead to cystic acne, redness, or irritation. The treatment is to control our stress levels through meditating and keep a tab on our diet and exercise. Avoid sugar, oily food items, and sometimes even reducing milk, can treat inflammation of the skin.

The following skin care tips, in addition to taking care of your diet, are important:

  • Cleanse your face twice a day with cleanser followed by applying moisturizer for hydration.
  • Remove makeup before going to bed! Always use clean brushes for applying makeup.
  •  Hydrate from within .Drink water whenever possible as it helps to clear your skin.
  • Change your pillowcase regularly. Chances are that old pillowcases could cause acne breakouts.

Face mapping is simple, yet effective, for identifying our skin problems. Along with this , taking care of our skin would be great right? That is why we have some effective skintelligent recommendations. Psst..they have zero sulfates and parabens!
